Performance Analyst

to join our team on a permanent basis.

How you will make a difference

You will help us to ‘finance change to change finance’ by analysing portfolio, fund and market data from both a financial and impact perspective, communicating these insights to relevant stakeholders within the organization and working as performance analyst for our Impact Private Debt & Equity (IPD&E) funds. Furthermore, you will be jointly responsible for monitoring the debt valuations of our IPD&E funds and act as a vocal point for both internal and external stakeholders.

You will make a difference by:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis of financial and impact data, by combining and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Working with other Performance analysts, Impact Specialists, Fund Managers, Investment and Marketing teams to produce the annual impact report and SFDR annex to the annual report for assigned fund(s).
  • Monitoring portfolio developments and generate management information at portfolio and fund level to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the debt valuation of our IPD&E funds and participating in & delivering proposals to our Valuation Committee (VC).
  • Contributing to harmonizing and standardizing of impact and financial analysis in the Datawarehouse.
  • Collaborating with the Impact Specialist(s) to improve regular impact reporting to investors.
  • Interacting with different teams like Fund Management, Marketing and Communication, Business Analysis, Portfolio Services, Financial Accounting and Risk & Compliance.

Your future colleagues

You will be reporting directly to the Head of Impact & Financial Performance Measurement and cooperate closely with your co-workers in the Impact & Financial Performance Measurement team, Fund Management team, Investment team and Marketing & Communication.

The Impact & Financial Performance Measurement team currently consists of two sub-teams; Performance Analysts focusing on monitoring the impact & financial performance and the Impact Specialists focusing on advancing impact management processes of the IPD&E funds within Triodos Investment Management. The team contains of 9 enthusiastic and dedicated (young) professionals.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong analytical, modelling and reporting skills with the ability to work with complex data structures.
  • Experience with valuation methods of debt instruments.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Excel.
  • Experience with building dashboards and automating reports, preferably knowledge/ experience of Qlik Sense and KNIME.
  • The ability to distinguish between the essential and the ancillary to quickly grasp and improve processes.
  • A mix of courage and organisational sensitivity, so you can easily engage and interact with different stakeholders in your daily work.
  • Affinity with the mission and vision of Triodos Bank and Triodos IM.

Furthermore, it is desirable that you will have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or Econometrics, CFA / CAIA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in Impact Investing, preferably in private debt and equity sector.
  • Experience in analysing and monitoring financial and impact data.
  • Have a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn and ability to enable continuous improvement of reporting and processes.
  • Work in a structured way; keep others informed, good planning, prioritizing & organizing skills, on time and well-prepared.
  • Fluent in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Applicants must be nationals of a European member state or have a valid work permit for the EU.
  • You are living in the Netherlands.
